Kevin Kern

Kevin R. Kern, MPA, CALA is the Founder, President, and CEO of
Prosperity Nonprofit Partnerships, LLC. Kevin has over 24 years of
experience in nonprofit leadership, specializing in the human
services and intellectual & developmental disability provider space.
He began his career at the Dr. Gertrude A. Barber National Institute
in Erie, PA, in 2001 and then relocated to Houston, Texas, in 2007
to join The Center for Pursuit. Over his 17 years there, he held
various key positions, including Director of Residential Services and
Chief Operating Officer.


In addition to his professional duties, Kevin is actively involved in
the community, having served on several boards and committees.
His board appointments include the Private Providers Association
of Texas(PPAT), the American Association on Individuals with
Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (AAIDD) - Texas
Chapter, the HCC VAST Academy Advisory Board, Bloom Fitness,
and the Harris County IDD Planning and Advisory Committee.


Kevin holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Human & Social
Services Administration and a Master's in Public Administration
(MPA) from Bellevue University. He also possesses a Leadership
certificate from the University of Houston and is a Certified
Assisted Living Administrator.


On a personal note, Kevin has been happily married to his wife,
Rebecca, for 31 years, and together they have two wonderful
daughters, Jessica and Emily. They are also proud pet lovers,
sharing their home with dogs, cats, and birds!

Charles C. Canton

We are thrilled to welcome Charles Canton as a valued role in with
Prosperity Nonprofit Partnerships, LLC. A seasoned CEO and
executive leader, Charles brings over 40 years of expertise in
business development, operations excellence, technology, and
strategic planning. His passion for mentorship and team building
has shaped countless professionals, helping them grow both
personally and professionally.


Throughout his career, Charles has been dedicated to making a
meaningful impact, particularly in supporting individuals with
barriers to employment and improving the lives of the I/DD
community. His commitment to people-first leadership is evident in
everything he does.


Originally from Pennsylvania, Charles earned both his Bachelor of
Science in Management and Psychology and an MBA in
Management from Houston Christian University. He and his wife,
Jo, have been happily married for over 47 years, sharing a love for
antiquing, gardening, and quality time with their three grown
children and two grandchildren. When he’s not inspiring teams or
strategizing for success, you might find him enjoying a good book
or testing his skills on the golf course—occasionally startling the
local wildlife in the process.
